Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice™ (AFMCP) Europe

Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice(AFMCP) Europe brings functional medicine training to our corner of the world.

AFMCP Europe will be a blended online and in-person course with a required two-day session in London, England, happening 22-23 September. The online cohort begins on 20 June, and clinicians will need to complete the first three chapters by 3 September prior to attending the live sessions.

AFMCP gives you the skills to diagnose, assess, and effectively treat patients using the functional medicine framework. Clinicians will learn how to apply various clinical tools and interventions to target the underlying causes of disease and develop individualised treatment protocols. Functional medicine can be applied in a variety of clinical settings, and clinicians from all backgrounds can benefit from taking this course. AFMCP Europe will connect you with leading functional medicine educators and other clinicians in your community to gain new perspectives on approaching care.

    Hi There, I have submitted my credentials to request the regional pricing. I am interested to know the time requirments in terms of online and in prson tuition and recommended study time, in order to better guage whether my schedule will accommodate the training. I have searched but do not see this in the information provided, I would be really grateful if you could let me know. Thanks

    • Hi Sorcha, Thank you for your application, we have approved this and sent back your discount, please do check your emails. In terms of the schedule, the AFMCP is broken down into 5 chapters, each taking a day of study. For this European version you will have three months online to study the first 3 chapters in your own time, we will then have the final 2 chapters in person in London on the 22nd-23rd September.     Hello, when completing the chapters please can you let me know what will be required as regards assessment, e.g. assignments, case studies, etc.

      Dear Deborah,
      Each Chapter should take around 6 hours to work through, there are no assignments or case studies, however there may be a short assessments to assess your learning but these will not be marked.

      Thanks for contacting us, yes there are still a few places left, so please feel free to book. Once the training is completed, you will be an AFMCP graduate with an attendance certificate to show this.

  • Hello, I’m trying to register for the AFMCP and getting the discount but it says the course is sold out? Is that actually the case or just a glitch? I was at your stand few days ago at the IPM conference in London seemed like there was still space and time to register.

  • Hi I would like to apply for the next cohort of this course as it is a bit too late for me to join this one. Can you please advise when would the next one be and would it be the same like current one? Thanks.

    • Dear Ena,

      Thank you for your email, we do not yet have another date for a European AFMCP, but you can always take the Online offering. The best thing to do is to keep checking the IFM planning calendar https://www.ifm.org/ifm-planning-calendar/ and any newsletters we send out. This website will advertise any upcoming events also.
