CBD is now big business but there is still so much misunderstanding around CBD products, their use and current CBD regulation in the UK.
Join Dr Elisabeth Philipps PhD, the UK’s leading expert in CBD, as she discusses the clinical applications of CBD to support the body’s natural Endocannabinoid System. She will be joined by international rugby stars George Kruis (England and Saracens) and Dominic Day (Wales and Saracens, retired) who will talk about practical approaches to using CBD in sport for recovery and performance.
Elisabeth will also clarify the current status of UK regulations of CBD including the Novel Food application, and what this means to practitioners and the general public in terms of buying and using CBD products.
There will be a concluding open forum Q&A session featuring all the speakers.

Dom Day – Pro Rugby Player and co-founder of fourfiveCBD
Dominic Day enjoyed a stellar rugby career playing for Wales and several UK and international club sides spanning over a decade before his final two years playing club rugby at Saracens alongside his second row team mate George Kruis.
Dom came across CBD when he went through surgery at the beginning of 2018 and the World Anti Doping Association (WADA) had removed CBD from their prohibited list. After experiencing the genuine benefits for maintaining an active lifestyle, he passed on the message to Saracens teammate and business partner George Kruis when he too needed surgery a few months later.
Being professional athletes themselves, George and Dom understand the importance of what they put in their bodies. They are now committed to providing the highest-grade natural CBD products for athletes and active people alike through their company fourfivecbd, including a muscle rub and a soon to be released joint gel, which have been rigorously tested by Banned Substance Control Group (BSCG) for cross-contamination of over 400 banned substances.
George Kruis – Pro Rugby Player and co-founder of fourfiveCBD
George Kruis is a professional rugby player. He has made over 180 appearances for Saracens, winning 3 European titles and 4 Premiership trophies and is a seasoned international player. George achieved his first senior England cap in the 2014, going on to play in the 2015 Rugby World Cup and win back-to-back Six Nations titles in 2016 and 2017. He was also selected in the 2017 British & Irish Lions tour to New Zealand and has recently formed a crucial part of the England team second row in the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan and current 2020 Six Nations team.
After suffering sporting setbacks in 2018, George Kruis began to take the organic supplement CBD oil on recommendation of his Saracens team mate Dominic Day. They found that it helped them maintain an active lifestyle during the highs and lows of their rugby careers, and they wanted to share this with others. George and Dom founded fourfivecbd, with the sole purpose of producing high quality trusted CBD with proven provenance, and they are committed to spreading the word about the benefits of CBD for maintaining an active lifestyle.
