BANT Resources:

BANT has a variety of free resources available on its website that introduce nutrition and lifestyle medicine recommendations to the general public in bite-sized portions.

These range from our Wellbeing Guidelines infographics – designed to help individuals construct a healthier, more balanced plate to dietary and lifestyle guides, available as part of our wider ‘Food for your Health Resources‘, which cover a broad range of topics on nutrition, symptomathology fact sheets, your body and health, kitchen hacks, food strategies, lifestyle and healthy habits. Much of the nutrition advice given by our members is given alongside lifestyle recommendations so we include resources on physical activity, sleep, stress, relaxation, breath work and more, in recognition of the importance of these restorative practices.

BANT has a dedicated portal for General Practitioners and the wider medical community to signpost how to collaborate with nutrition practitioners for better patient/client outcomes.

Nutrition Evidence Database:

BANT owns and manages the Nutrition Evidence Database (NED) which is the UK’s first scientific database dedicated to nutrition and lifestyle medicine research. It focuses on human research and is designed as a comprehensive platform for practitioners, academic researchers, policy-makers and students. The powerful search facility uses functional and lifestyle medicine filters to support evidence-based, clinically effective nutrition practice.

Under the direction of the NED Editorial Board and contributions from an Expert Reviewer and indexer panel, the latest science is enhanced to provide expert reviews and plain language summaries, ensuring NED’s unique position as a clinically-useful tool for nutrition and lifestyle medicine practitioners.

The NED Editorial Board is keen to engage with other evidence-based organisations as development partners to reach the ambition of becoming the go-to science portal for nutrition and lifestyle practitioners worldwide. The purpose of the partnership programme is to enrich the database with quality science and nutrition information from a wide range of sources, highlighting key new studies, evidenced podcasts/blogs and product monographs relevant to the partner brand, as well as to the clinical practice of our healthcare subscribers.
